Introduction to the philosophy of
Chinese Medicine and
Acupuncture.
The eastern medicine comes
from Chinese Yin and Yang, Qi and blood, and Five Elements
philosophical views before the Han dynasty. To understand the
eastern medicine, the Tao or Tai Zi philosophy will be the best
approach to understand the nature of Chinese medicine and
acupuncture. Chinese medicine and acupuncture believes there is no
single medicine system can resolve all forms of disease. So Chinese
medicine is just like a framework, it provides entire health
guidance for our living styles.
There are many techniques
within Chinese medicine and acupuncture. However, no matter what the
technique, all they try to provide the best knowledge to help
healing diseases. Our sites contain many articles and information
which will lead you to understand the theories and technique applied
in Chinese medicine and acupuncture.
Acupuncture is one of the
old medicines in the world. It took a long time to develop the
complicated theory and techniques. The theory basically includes the
Yin, Yang, Qi, blood, and Meridian and collaterals. These theories
and techniques are still the main guideline for today’s Chinese
medicine practitioners. The diagnostic method and acupoints of
acupuncture and Chinese medicine are basically the same as described
a few hundred years ago. It means the treatment procedure and
benefits from the acupuncture are still an appropriate clinical
protocol for different diseases.

Most of the treatments in
the United States are called standardized treatments. The treatment
method, procedures, and theories will have some differences to the
ways used in China and Taiwan. However, the acupuncture and Chinese
medicine is still a safe and effective form of medicine used the
entire world over, even the treatment methodology is different from
practitioner to practitioner.
You may hear there are
different styles of acupuncture. I will tell you the styles are not
important. What is important is how the acupuncturist can help to
resolve the problems quickly. It doesn’t matter which style of
acupuncture, it is still acupuncture. Acupuncture is acupuncture.
Maybe some acupuncturist’s insert the needles softly, and the others
not. I believe Chinese acupuncture technique is still the best style
among all the others.
Many people ask what can
be treated with acupuncture. The acupuncture and Chinese medicine
are just like other medicines and can treat most of the diseases.
But there are still a lot of diseases Chinese medicine and
acupuncture will not be able to help, just like Western medicine.
Nothing is perfect, we still learn everything from nature and the
environment.
Chinese medicine and
acupuncture has been around for many centuries. They are
time-tested and a honed art. Give them a try. See what they do.
Tell your friends. You will leave feeling better.
